Welcome

Welcome to the Gamma Theta Chapter of
Phi Mu at James Madison University

ΦΜ

Women join Phi Mu for many reasons.  It can be a home away from home, a pathway to campus involvement, or a lifelong network.  Each member gains opportunities to learn how to be a leader, an active member, and a supporter of her sisters, all while having fun.  We believe that everyone can make a difference and that every member of Phi Mu can contribute to the growth and strength of our bond. Nothing less than the best! Phi Mu all the way!

Extension at JMU is a Huge Success
Following two exciting weeks of public relations work and recruitment events on James Madison University’s campus, Phi Mu Fraternity is happy to welcome 147 new women as founding members of the Gamma Theta Colony. “The new members of Gamma Theta have already impressed me,” said resident chapter consultant, Gina Spatafore. “I cannot wait to continue working with these women and watch them grow and develop into a successful Phi Mu chapter.” The new colony members are looking forward to supporting the children at their CMN hospital, the University of Virginia Children’s Hospital, hosting date parties, planning social events with other groups on campus and building a strong sisterhood that will leave a legacy as the founding member class at JMU. “The recolonization of the Gamma Theta Chapter has been the highlight of my consultant career,” said resident chapter consultant, Kari Johnson. “It was truly rewarding to see women who shared my love and excitement for Phi Mu join our sisterhood on Bid Day.” The new members are excited to begin their Phi Mu education and to be installed as a Phi Mu chapter later this fall. More information about the Gamma Theta Colony may be found at http://jmu.phimu.org. Phi Mu National Council would like to extend a special thank you to the chapter consultants, Headquarters staff, National and Area Officers and local alumnae for making the Fraternity’s extension efforts at JMU such a success.
